The 8 Point Face Lift is commonly referred to as a non-surgical face lift, as you can achieve excellent results but without the risks, downtime and costs that are involved with surgery. The procedure uses dermal fillers to 8 key areas of the mid-face to volumise and lift the tissues and structure of the face which in turn rejuvenates and produces a more youthful profile.
The Filler is injected with a very fine needle or a cannula under the skin surface to all key areas of the face. An anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area for approximately 30 minutes prior to the treatment. Any discomfort is therefore minimal. The treatment will take approximately 1/2 – 1 hour to complete.
The 8-point facelift gives you that natural look as it focuses on the overall rejuvenation of the whole face and not just one or two specific areas.
Results include:
Volumising Lifting the lower and mid face
Creating more youthful contours
Improving definition around the jawline
Rejuvenating the eye area for less ‘tired’ eyes
Firmer smoother skin with fewer lines and wrinkles
More awake, alert feature with less ‘sagginess’
Results can be seen instantly, however, it can take a couple of weeks to see full clear results after the redness and swelling has settled down.
The treated area may be slightly red and/or slightly swollen, however you can resume normal activities, drive yourself home or return to work immediately after the treatment.
Results will vary on each individual, but you can expect results to last between 12 – 18 months.
Although uncommon, possible adverse effects may include:
Injection-related reactions
These reactions may include swelling, redness, discomfort, itching and bruising at the injection site immediately after the treatment. Such reactions are typically mild and resolve within a few hours.
Allergic reaction
The risk of an allergic reaction is extremely rare and they are usually self-limiting. Allergic reactions can however be treated with oral or injectable corticosteroids or the product removed using an injectable enzyme (hyaluronidase).
Infection
As with all injections, this procedure carries a risk of infection. The syringe is sterile and standard precautions associated with injectable materials are always taken.
This procedure has not been tested in pregnant or nursing women and is therefore not advised.
